Bamboo flooring

Hand-made wood flooring 

This is a type of hardwood flooring for which the wood material is hand-cut into pieces. Manual processing is known for the fact that the texture is the most diverse, and the pieces are not always exactly the same. When buying such flooring, you should pay attention to whether the processing is really manual or an imitation by a machine. Keep in mind that hand-processed wood has a higher price. 

Recycled wood flooring

Recycled wood flooring is made from wood that has already been used once. It is preferred by homeowners who maintain an environmentally friendly lifestyle. This flooring also has some unsuspected advantages – it is made from old wooden objects that were made at a time when only the best part of the wood was used, and the material itself was aged under natural conditions, so the chance of it bending or cracking is really small. 

Flooring of exotic or rare wood 

As long as you can afford it, you can opt for flooring, made of exotic or rare and expensive wood species. Among them is the Brazilian cherry (Jatoba). It is found in southern Mexico, Brazil, Bolivia and Peru. It has a warm reddish color and remarkable durability. Jatoba is one of the hardest woods used to make flooring – about 10 times harder than oak. Other very beautiful and expensive wood species for flooring are wenge, teak, Karelian birch, merbo (iron wood).
